Jeanne Hebuterne threw herself out of the fifth-floor apartment window, killing herself and her unborn child. It was 25 January 1920, the day after Amedeo Modigliani's death, On 24 January 1920.

Jeanne Hebuterne was a French artist, best known as the frequent subject and common-law wife of the artist Amedeo Modigliani.

The two movies were made from the tragedy (their life and love) of Jeanne Hebuterne and Amedeo Modigliani.

In 1958, "Montparnasse 19 (Les Amants de Montparnasse)" directed by Jacques Becker. In this movie, Jeanne Hebuterne acted by Anouk Aimee and Amedeo Modigliani acted by Gerard Philipe.

In 2004, "Modigliani" directed by Mick Davis. In this movie, Jeanne Hebuterne acted by Elsa Zylberstein and Amedeo Modigliani acted by Andy García.
