Before She released her first full-length novel "Strangers On A Train" 1950, in 1942 Patricia Highsmith graduated from Barnard College to study English composition, playwriting, and short story prose. And she got at publications on Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Mademoiselle, Good Housekeeping, Time, Fortune and The New Yorker and so on.

Her first full-length novel "Strangers On A Train" 1950 was adapted for the same title movie "Strangers On A Train" 1951 directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

That is the start of that she became one of the best‐selling authors. And some of her novels were adapted for the some movies.

Especially among them, her five novels of "The Tom Ripley Series" are the most famous and successful novels written by Patricia Highsmith.
