Siouxsie Sioux was the vocalist of Siouxsie And The Banshees from 1976 - 1996, 2002. The original members of the band were Kenny Morris (dr), John McKay (g), Steven Severin (b) and Siouxsie Sioux (vo). In 1979, after releasing their second album "Join Hands
", Kenny Morris (dr), John McKay (g) left the band.
Soon, Budgie (dr), formerly with The Slits joined the band to 1996, the band broken.
On the other hand, some guitarists joined the band and left the band.
So, the history of the band is the history of their guitarist and the history of their guitar's sounds and performances.

The first album "The Scream" 1978 and the second album "Join Hands" 1979 was recorded by their original line-up, Kenny Morris (dr), John McKay (g), Steven Severin (b) and Siouxsie Sioux (vo).

On the third album "Kaleidoscope" 1980 Kenny Morris (dr), John McKay (g) left the band and Budgie (dr) became a permanent member for the band. As the guest guitarists, John McGeoch, formerly of Magazine and Steve Jones, formerly of Sex Pistols joined recording.

On the forth album "Juju" 1981 and the fifth album "A Kiss In The Dreamhouse" 1982, John McGeoch (g) joined as a permanent member for the band.
The words "Fuck the mothers, kill the others / Fuck the others, kill the mothers" for the collage of "dedicated to Siouxsie Sioux, the ice queen" is take from the lyrics of "Night Shift" from the album "Juju".

On their first live album "Nocturne" 1983 and the sixth studio recording album "Hyaena" 1984, Robert Smith (g) from The Cure joined as a permanent member for the band.

On the seventh album "Tinderbox" 1986 and the eighth album "Through the Looking Glass" 1987 recording the cover songs, John Valentine Carruthers (g) formally of Clock DVA joined as a permanent member for the band.

On the ninth album "Peepshow" 1988, the tenth album "Superstition" 1991 and the last studo recording album "The Rapture" 1995 Martin McCarrick (key), later a member of Therapy? and Jon Klein, formally of Specimen joined as a permanent member for the band.

On the second live album "The Seven Year Itch" 2003 recorded their reunion tour in 2002, the line-up of the band was Budgie (dr), Steven Severin (b) Siouxsie Sioux (vo) and the guitarist Knox Chandler, formally of Psychedelic Furs.
